The man is a true sonic explorer's. The first time l seen him live was with Bowie. Some people would call it a solo but what he does on Red Sails is more of some sort of psychotic explosion. One of the coolest things ever!
thats the most awesome solo ever ! I WALWAYSLOVED THAT !!!!!!!!!!
DJ Spooky! Artful and creative.
Magnificent interview!
Years ago, they were asked by someone to take this route and use a computer onstage, and they told him to fock off.
It's always Orbital Time.
Guess which one has taken the most drugs!
The first time hearing Are friends electric when it was released in 79 was like a musical orgasm , WTH was that OMG i have to hear it again and anything else from this artist , it was that different like no other sound in music and nothing has hit me anything close to that since . Gary Numan expanded the limitations of music to an unlimited world of imagination . Synthesizers had been around for a good decade at that time but nobody ever used them in such a way as Numan did
After hearing what he did with Brian Eno, ambient music. I have really enjoyed the albums I hear from him.
That Parker guitar is gorgeous
Adrian always exhilarates
Suicide, that band brought Synth to Punk
that sound for Elephant talk actually sounds kind of like an elephant XD
Back in the day , late 80's early 90's saw orbital many times , best gig I saw, totally off it in manchester ( 1992 ) asked the sound guy what time were orbital playing. He said they just finished mate off my nutz
4:00 this gives oof some extraordinary Minecraft vibes
When Frank Zappa introduced his band and said the name Adrian Belew, I always got goosebumps.
Saw the two at the Fox in Atlanta back in....whenever Belew was in the Zappa band. Adrian had the whole Black and Decker kit with him.
Well that solves that…
As a clarinetist, i felt this video was very informative, entertaining, but useless.
Great guitarist, but I hope he's quit clinging to those scraps on his head.
How about showing us some of your Fractal patches?
He is so cool 😎😊
This is hilarious!! Never knew Gary was so funny. Knew he was genuine and lovely but this is new to me! 😆
His music has deeply touched my soul
Gary has such a great personality. So talented.
Man you are 2 musical wizards Love your muzik /sound ❤so much ❤🎶🎶🎶 And seeing your equipment is mind blowing It’s so good to see 😎
It's tomorrow they send me singing "i am an American" Did you?
I'm looking for America I'm looking for you...
Adrian the master. Thank you for sharing your genius.
As Adrian gets older he looks more and more like the crazy man his playing sounds like...
S2
This was fantastic
Your local music store: "you know, this $4k synth is used by the pros" The pros: "over here we've got the Ipads"
Great choice of recording location, is the mic up on the stage with the folks setting up?
He's talking crap!
Thank you Adrian indeed. We all love your work with KC and that includes your vocals as well as your guitar playing. And let's not forget your energy. I love how you bounce onto the stage with that big smile and light up the gig. And hey! Let's also not forget when you help Bill with percussion on tracks like Waiting Man. That's a KC iconic moment for me.
Jerry Lewis was always a bit of an odd duck!! I laughed so hard at his movies my sides hurt!
Orbital using multiple ipads. Very sad to see. Digital, no longer Orbital. 😔👎
Talented AND funny. Love Gary.
Adrian effing Belew. Im grateful, I always wanted to do these sounds
Great to hear him call London his favourite city. Great taste!
2:27 Some serious Pennywise vibes going on right here.
always wondered how he got that sound on elephant talk
The audio is horrible...what was his reason for leaving UK?
Sure plenty of "ambience" in this interview. So much so I can barely hear Harold speak.
5:50 Epic zone out
Great gentleman and amazing artist, very down to earth as well. Met him in person twice and he was great both times, seen him in concert several times. Met him in Disneyland CA watching the New Years Eve fireworks with his family. He asked my wife to take the family picture (we didn't bother him for an autograph or photo).
I've watch a lot and I mean a lot of Gary's interviews and he is clearly a decent honest man
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Adrian Belev looks more and more like Bjarne Strousrup
I love The Rail Song. I’ve never been sure wether he is doing train sounds on his guitar, or if it’s a real train in the song. Either way, it’s one of his most beautiful, poignant songs.
I saw him play Train Song with the Bears in mid-90s...was a highlite of the show, for sure.
Absolutely a great great song!!
The press later booed them per Suicide request lol
